An 18-year-old man from East Hempfield Township tragically lost his life late Friday night following a vehicle crash in Leacock Township, as reported by the Pennsylvania State Police. The victim, identified as Benjamin Singer from Landisville, was driving westbound on Old Philadelphia Pike (Route 340) around 11:42 p.m. when the incident occurred.
According to police reports, Singer’s vehicle left the roadway and collided with two utility poles. He was the only person in the car at the time of the crash. The vehicle ultimately came to a stop near the intersection of Old Philadelphia Pike and Old Leacock Road, suffering extensive damage on all sides.
Emergency responders, including the Intercourse Fire Company and Garden Spot Fire Rescue, arrived on the scene to assist with the situation. Unfortunately, Benjamin Singer was pronounced dead at the scene due to the injuries sustained in the crash, according to state police.
