Bitget Wallet has announced an exclusive hosting of the Morph Unity Airdrop, marking the first significant token distribution for Morph, a Layer 2 network aimed at developing next-generation settlement infrastructure. This event is set to enhance user engagement within the crypto ecosystem and is aligned with a broader trend towards rewarding participation to ensure sustainable network activity.
The airdrop eligibility checker and claim page went live on September 23 at 18:00 (UTC+8), while the formal token claim process will commence on September 25 at the same time. A total of 271,172.097 BGB tokens will be distributed to various participants, including ambassadors, creators, and early users within the Morph ecosystem. The claim window will remain open for one month, closing on October 25 at 18:00 (UTC+8).
Eligibility for the airdrop is determined by contributions across multiple categories. Qualified participants include Morph creators, ambassadors, those involved in Morph’s partner and ecosystem campaigns, Morph Zoo points holders, the top 500 contributors in Morph Hub by experience points, referral points holders, and Zootosis participants. This airdrop is structured as a one-time event with no vesting period, allowing eligible users to claim their tokens instantly. The claim process is designed to be user-friendly, requiring only a wallet connection and digital signature.
Morph, as a Layer 2 solution, focuses on consumer finance and payment systems, with ambitions to develop into a comprehensive settlement layer for global blockchain activities. By integrating this airdrop into Bitget Wallet’s extensive user base of over 80 million individuals, the initiative aims to transform early engagement into sustained ecosystem involvement.
Colin Goltra, CEO of Morph, expressed gratitude to the community, stating that the Unity Airdrop serves as recognition for their contributions to the creation of Morph. He emphasized that this event signifies the start of a stronger relationship with the Bitget Wallet ecosystem, aiming for collaborative growth in on-chain consumer finance.
Adding to this sentiment, Jamie Elkaleh, CMO of Bitget Wallet, highlighted that the airdrop is part of a more expansive partnership with Morph, enabling users to earn, make transactions, and utilize real-world applications on the blockchain, thereby enhancing the utility of BGB within the ecosystem.
