Convicted money launderer Heather Morgan, known by her stage name “Razzlekhan,” is set to release a new single titled “Turki$h Martha” later this week, marking her first musical offering since she began serving an 18-month sentence for laundering funds connected to the 2016 Bitfinex hack. Morgan is currently under the supervision of a residential reentry management office in Sacramento and is scheduled for full release on December 28.
During her time at prison, Morgan revealed that both staff and inmates frequently requested her to perform the new track, which has gained popularity among her fellow inmates. In a tweet from November 12, she noted the enthusiasm for her music in prison: “Both prison staff & inmates at Victorville LOVED this song & asked me to rap ‘Turki$h Martha’ regularly.” She is actively working on logistics to release the song through prison-approved channels, mentioning that a clean version would be required.
Morgan was sentenced in November 2024 after her involvement in laundering over 119,000 BTC stolen during the Bitfinex breach, which is among the largest cryptocurrency thefts in history. Her husband, Ilya Lichtenstein, also received a five-year sentence for money laundering, during which he claimed responsibility for the hack itself. Federal authorities managed to recover the majority of the stolen Bitcoin, which is currently valued at more than $11 billion.
Since her arrest in 2022, Morgan’s life and her personal brand have captured public fascination. Prior to her legal troubles, she had established a notable online presence, creating rap videos and sharing entrepreneurial insights, along with lifestyle content centered on travel, fashion, and technology. Her international experiences included studying at Bilkent University in Ankara, Turkey, as part of an exchange program.
Her rapper persona, Razzlekhan, drew attention for its flamboyant portrayal, which she described as “Genghis Khan, but with more pizzazz.” She was known for humorous self-descriptions in her rap videos, referring to herself as a “Versace bedouin” and the “crocodile of Wall Street.” The upcoming track “Turki$h Martha” continues her unique style, featuring visuals of her performing while donning an Ottoman-style war helmet.
In snippets of the song shared online, Morgan can be heard rapping lyrics that include playful references to popular culture and her culinary exploits. The lyrics feature lines like “that ain’t the Harlem Shake, shimmy, shimmy, earthquake,” and quirky phrases about personal reflections and life experiences.
Ahead of her sentencing, Morgan was active in creating content, including a song that expressed her emotional struggles concerning impending incarceration and her separation from Lichtenstein. She maintained a presence on platforms like Cameo, branding herself as “crypto’s favorite felon.” Recently, Lichtenstein has publicly claimed, in a video call, that Morgan was unaware of the hack during its duration, emphasizing his sole responsibility for the crime.
As excitement builds for the release of “Turki$h Martha,” the public eagerly anticipates Morgan’s return to the music scene, showcasing her resilience and creativity even in challenging circumstances.
