Residents along the Treasure Coast and in central Florida woke up to a serene morning on Saturday, marked by mild temperatures and areas of fog, particularly inland. A Dense Fog Advisory has been issued for regions including the Treasure Coast, Okeechobee, and inland parts of Palm Beach County, prompting caution for those traveling in affected areas.
As the day progressed, the fog is expected to dissipate following sunrise, giving way to a mix of sun and clouds. Comfortable and dry weather will dominate the remainder of the weekend, with temperatures predicted to rise into the mid to upper 80s. These warm conditions are being influenced by a cold front stationed over north-central Florida, which is maintaining southerly winds and contributing to above-average temperatures.
While the weekend will generally remain dry, there’s a possibility of isolated sprinkles, keeping rain chances low. However, forecasts indicate that by Sunday night, the cold front will begin to move southward, leading to an increase in rain activity. The most significant rain chances are anticipated for Monday afternoon, with a slight risk of isolated thunderstorms.
Once the front passes, residents can expect a marked shift in weather patterns. Cooler and drier air will filter into South Florida, resulting in temperatures dropping back to the mid to upper 70s and a reduction in humidity. This refreshing weather is expected to continue through late next week.
In addition, meteorologists are watching for another front that could approach later in the week. There remains some uncertainty regarding its timing and strength, but it’s a development that the community will be monitoring closely as it could further impact the region’s weather.
