Buccaneers Activate Mike Evans and Jalen McMillan for Thursday Night's Game Against Falcons

The Buccaneers are gearing up for a crucial Thursday night matchup against the Falcons with promising news regarding their receiving corps. The team has officially activated wide receivers Mike Evans and Jalen McMillan from injured reserve. Evans has been out since suffering a broken collarbone in Week 7, while McMillan has not yet played this season due to a neck injury.

Both players were marked as questionable on the final injury report leading up to the game. However, the Bucs’ decision to activate them suggests confidence in their ability to contribute against Atlanta. The final determination of their game status will be announced 90 minutes prior to kickoff.

If both players take the field, it will mark the first time this season that Evans, McMillan, and fellow wide receiver Chris Godwin will all be in the lineup together since Week 7. This return is particularly pivotal for a Buccaneers offense that has struggled recently, tallying only 47 points during a three-game losing streak.

As the team enters Week 15, they find themselves tied with the Panthers at the top of the NFC South. The Buccaneers’ schedule includes two matchups against Carolina in the last three weeks of the season, making these upcoming games crucial for their playoff aspirations.

In a related roster move, the Buccaneers have waived defensive lineman C.J. Brewer and wide receiver Ryan Miller to accommodate the activation of Evans and McMillan. The team is hoping that the return of these key players will provide the offensive spark necessary to turn around their fortunes.
