Former TV producer added to FBI's Most Wanted list for alleged $30 million bank fraud scheme

A former television producer, who once led a company renowned for its true crime programs, has recently been placed on the FBI’s Most Wanted list amid serious allegations of bank fraud totaling nearly $30 million. Mary Carole McDonnell, 73, formerly the CEO of Bellum Entertainment Group—known for producing shows like “Corrupt Crimes” and “Murderous Affairs”—has been evading law enforcement for nearly seven years following charges of bank fraud and aggravated identity theft.

According to the FBI, between July 2017 and May 2018, McDonnell allegedly manipulated her way into financial institutions, claiming to be a beneficiary of an $80 million secret trust linked to the McDonnell Aircraft Family. Using this fabricated narrative, she reportedly secured $29.7 million from the Banc of California and other banks, funds she was never entitled to and has never returned.

Despite the issuance of an arrest warrant by the FBI on December 12, 2018, McDonnell has remained elusive. Authorities currently believe she may be in Dubai. The FBI has actively sought information regarding her location and is encouraging anyone with relevant details to come forward.
