Following Thailand is the Vietnamese team, which has achieved notable success with 9 golds, 5 silvers, and a significant 20 bronzes, placing them firmly in second position.
Indonesia currently holds the third spot in the rankings, amassing 7 golds, 13 silvers, and 10 bronzes. Singapore is in fourth place with 5 golds, 4 silvers, and 7 bronzes, while teams from Myanmar, Malaysia, and the Philippines follow closely behind. Notably, Laos has celebrated its first gold medal at SEA Games 33, while Brunei has won a silver medal and Timor Leste has secured a bronze.
The ongoing event, which runs from December 9 to 20, takes place across three main venues: Chonburi, Bangkok, and Songkhla. Approximately 9,366 athletes are participating in this year’s games, competing in 50 different sports. The total number of medals to be awarded at this event is 574, which is 10 fewer than at the previous SEA Games.
