San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey returned to practice on Friday after missing Wednesday’s session and being limited on Thursday due to illness. The three-time Pro Bowl player was a full participant in Friday’s practice as the team prepares for their upcoming Week 15 matchup against the Tennessee Titans at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
Despite facing a struggling Titans team that has only won two games throughout the 2025 season and is already out of playoff contention, the 49ers must maintain their momentum. McCaffrey’s presence on the field significantly enhances the team’s offensive capabilities. This season, he has accumulated 849 rushing yards and eight touchdowns from 237 carries, while also contributing 806 receiving yards and five touchdowns on 85 catches.
In his ninth NFL season, McCaffrey has demonstrated impressive durability, having played every game so far this year. His return to form comes at a pivotal moment for the 49ers, who are on a three-game winning streak and hold a 9-4 record, positioning them well within the playoff race. However, they still trail behind the 10-3 Los Angeles Rams and Seattle Seahawks in the competitive NFC West.
As they head into Week 15, the 49ers are optimistic about their chances against a Titans defense that ranks 29th in the league, allowing an average of 27.5 points per game. With McCaffrey fully integrated back into the lineup, San Francisco’s offense could be poised for a significant performance in their pursuit of playoff positioning.
