Santino Marella recently shared his thoughts on TNA’s upcoming television deal with AMC, revealing that he has come to realize the significant impact of this partnership. TNA is set to debut on AMC on January 15, marking a new chapter for the organization, which has garnered attention since the announcement earlier this month.
In a candid discussion on the podcast “Rewind, Recap, Relive,” Marella expressed his surprise at the magnitude of AMC’s reach and influence. “Yeah, I mean, I knew AMC was a big company and a huge platform,” he reflected, adding that his recent experiences in El Paso helped him appreciate the full scope of what this deal entails. Marella emphasized the extensive number of households that AMC can reach and highlighted the channel’s prestigious reputation within the television industry.
He noted that discussions among fans had often centered around more traditional networks like USA and CW, making AMC’s involvement feel unexpected for many. “This one came out of left field,” he said, pointing out that AMC has never been associated with professional wrestling before. Marella shared his enthusiasm for the future, stating that AMC is already promoting TNA’s flagship show, iMPACT!, creating a sense of excitement around the collaboration.
With the network’s backing, Marella expressed optimism about the potential growth of TNA, noting, “It’s going to be huge, it’s going to be so much fun.” He is also involved in an upcoming match, scheduled for December 18th, where he will participate in an NXT vs. TNA steel cage match on the iMPACT! show.
As TNA prepares to forge ahead with AMC, the wrestling world eagerly anticipates the possibilities this new relationship may bring.
