In a recent interview, a rising star in professional wrestling shared insights into his relentless pursuit of excellence in the sport. The athlete emphasized a singular focus on honing his craft, stating, “Right now I am obsessed with getting better at wrestling, and trying to be the absolute best professional wrestler that I can be.” This unwavering commitment to improvement is the primary reason behind his decision to join NXT, a development territory known for nurturing wrestling talent.
He expressed confidence in his potential to reach the highest levels of the industry, crediting the Performance Center with providing essential tools and resources for his growth as a wrestler. “I really feel I can take this all the way,” he stated, highlighting his belief in the transformative power of the training available to him.
However, the quest for mastery comes at a cost. The wrestler admitted that switching off from the business can be challenging, revealing that his focus often prevents him from fully relaxing. “I actually find it super hard to switch off from the wrestling business and relax,” he confessed. Despite this struggle, he shared that engaging in social activities with friends and family, such as playing games, allows him to take a brief mental break.
He conveyed a sense of nostalgia for the days when he could immerse himself in single-player gaming without the weight of his professional ambitions. “I do miss the days of being able to play single player games, but now I’m just like, oh I could have used that hour to improve in this way or that way,” he reflected.
While he acknowledges the difficulty in finding balance, he believes that using games as a social outlet can be a helpful way to unwind—if only for a short time. Despite the pressures and sacrifices involved in his journey, his passion for wrestling and determination to succeed shines through, underscoring a dedication that resonates with many aspiring athletes.
