Harrison Ford made headlines yet again by being spotted in Knoxville, where he attended the ninth annual Allman Betts Family Revival at the Tennessee Theatre on December 10. The event, known for honoring the legendary music of the Allman Brothers Band, was hosted by Devon Allman and Duane Betts, the sons of the late Gregg Allman and Dickey Betts.
Ford, recognized for his iconic roles in films like “Indiana Jones” and “Star Wars,” has developed a fondness for Knoxville, frequently visiting the area, particularly since his wife, Calista Flockhart’s parents, retired in East Tennessee. His recent appearance was highlighted on social media, where Duane Betts celebrated Ford’s visit, posting a photo of the two together and exclaiming, “High times in Knoxville last night!!! The incomparable Harrison Ford dropped by.”
In addition to his time at the theatre, Ford was seen at Oliver Royale on Market Square, further enhancing his reputation as a well-known figure in the local community.
This isn’t the first time Ford has drawn attention in Knoxville. In 2023, a driver for the now-discontinued Knoxville Information Shuttle Service spotted him and managed to snap a selfie, although Ford did not ride the shuttle. Earlier, in 2018, he was recognized at Pete’s Coffee Shop, where he famously spent about 45 minutes. At that time, the then-co-owner, Joey Natour, recalled approaching Ford, joking about his absence in the recent “Star Wars” movie.
Over the years, Ford and Flockhart have made multiple visits to this charming Tennessee city, solidifying his status as a beloved local figure. As fans continue to share their encounters with the actor, Ford’s connection to Knoxville remains strong and ever-growing.
