Crypto exchange Bitget has taken a significant step by launching its traditional finance trading suite for all users, following a successful private beta that drew over 80,000 signups. This beta period showcased robust trading activity across various instruments, including gold, forex, and macro assets. With the public launch, Bitget now offers a total of 79 instruments, which encompass metals, forex, indices, and commodities, all settled in USDT. Users can access these offerings directly through their existing Bitget accounts, marking a pivotal evolution in the platform’s aim to become a Universal Exchange—one that merges digital assets with traditional markets.
During the beta phase, trading in XAU/USD (gold) made waves by hitting over $100 million in a single day, representing a standout performance according to a recent company statement. The new suite is strategically designed to empower crypto-native traders, enabling them to execute macro-driven trading strategies without the hassle of switching between different platforms. By ensuring all instruments are settled in USDT, Bitget eliminates the need for separate fiat accounts or traditional brokerage ties.
Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget, emphasized that traders crave the versatility to choose from a unified pool of assets. “They want the freedom to move between crypto and traditional markets as conditions change,” she noted. The launch of the TradFi suite aims to provide this level of accessibility in a seamless manner.
Throughout the beta period, Bitget took user feedback into account to refine aspects like liquidity depth, spreads, and leverage options. The inclusion of traditional finance instruments positions Bitget uniquely as a comprehensive gateway to global markets, rather than being limited to the realm of cryptocurrencies.
This launch aligns with broader trends in the financial industry, where cryptocurrency exchanges are diversifying to capture the interest of traders who are increasingly seeking cross-market diversification and macro hedging strategies—all within a single interface. As Bitget continues to adapt and expand, it reflects the evolving landscape where traditional finance and digital assets coexist and interact.
