Bitget, the leading Universal Exchange (UEX), has made a significant announcement by appointing MotoGP champion Jorge Lorenzo as its Security Ambassador, coinciding with Data Privacy Day. This strategic partnership follows a successful series of activations within prominent racing circuits across Italy, Germany, Catalunya, and Indonesia, and aims to connect high-performance sports with the evolving digital asset environment.
The collaboration emphasizes a philosophy centered on managing speed with enhanced security. At the heart of this initiative is a five-part educational video series that seeks to demystify complex security concepts for traders worldwide. The series covers essential topics such as phishing prevention, two-factor authentication, and risk warnings, along with insights into the Bitget Protection Fund and Proof of Reserves. By leveraging Lorenzo’s distinctive “X-Fuera” racing technique, which involves calculated exterior overtakes, the campaign intends to demonstrate how heightened awareness and strategic decision-making can lead to safer trading outcomes on the UEX platform.
Additionally, this partnership complements the Bitget Anti-scam Hub, an educational resource launched in June 2025 that provides ongoing information on security. This hub features real-time scam indicators and safety kits, equipping users to confront emerging threats like AI-driven fraud. The platform also boasts a sizeable Protection Fund of over $300 million, alongside a monthly publication of Proof of Reserves to ensure that all user assets are backed on a 1:1 basis.
Lorenzo remarked, “In the racing world, every move is a balance of speed and safety. Navigating digital assets requires that same level of precision and the right armor to succeed.” Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget, added, “Security is a mindset shared between platforms and people. By partnering with a champion like Jorge, the aim is to turn passive users into active defenders of their own digital journey.”
The collaboration signifies a push towards industry-wide transparency, utilizing Merkle Tree verification to enable independent audits of platform solvency, thereby raising the standards for the digital trading community.
With over 125 million users, Bitget is at the forefront of the cryptocurrency sector, offering access to a vast array of assets, including more than 2 million crypto tokens and numerous tokenized stocks and commodities. The platform is dedicated to empowering its users to trade intelligently with the help of its AI agent, which assists in execution. Furthermore, Bitget is committed to blockchain education, partnering with UNICEF to impact 1.1 million people by 2027.
As part of its mission to promote crypto adoption and maintain the industry’s lowest fees and highest liquidity across 150 regions globally, Bitget continues to explore strategic alliances with high-profile organizations like LALIGA and MotoGP. This dynamic approach to enhancing security and user engagement promises to set new benchmarks in the Web3 ecosystem.
