United States stock markets, including the Nasdaq and the New York Stock Exchange, will remain closed on Friday, April 3, in observance of Good Friday. This significant day holds religious importance for Christians, marking the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ. Trading on the exchanges will resume on Monday, April 6.

In addition to the stock market closure, the U.S. bond market will have a shortened trading day, closing at noon ET on Friday, as per the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association. Following the Good Friday observance, trading on Wall Street is set to continue without interruption until late May, when the next market closure is scheduled for Memorial Day on Monday, May 25.

For 2026, the U.S. stock market has several holidays when trading will be paused. These closures include:

– Good Friday: Friday, April 3
– Memorial Day: Monday, May 25
– Juneteenth: Friday, June 19
– Independence Day: Friday, July 3
– Labor Day: Monday, September 7
– Thanksgiving: Thursday, November 26 (with an early closure at 1 p.m. ET on November 25)
– Christmas: Friday, December 25 (also with a 1 p.m. ET closure on December 24)

Investors and traders should plan accordingly for these closures, as they could impact trading strategies and market activities.
