In a collaborative effort to support canine welfare, MoonPay, the Dogecoin Foundation, and House of Doge have jointly donated 1 million DOGE, equivalent to approximately $95,000, to the AKC Humane Fund. This significant contribution will aid in various vital areas, including rescue operations, assistance for domestic violence victims with pets, and veterinary care for families facing financial challenges across the United States.
The donation, made on Monday, also marks the introduction of ongoing crypto donations facilitated by MoonPay’s payment infrastructure, allowing supporters to contribute in Dogecoin or other cryptocurrencies to the charity efficiently. This initiative aims to provide shelter support for pet owners affected by domestic violence, stray dog rescues, and essential veterinary services.
House of Doge CEO Marco Margiotta emphasized the importance of this campaign, stating that it brings the purpose of Dogecoin to life by creating a tangible impact for dogs in need. “By enabling Dogecoin-powered donations for a cause that directly supports dogs, we’re creating a meaningful connection between our community and making a real-world impact,” Margiotta said.
MoonPay President Keith Grossman expressed pride in the partnership, highlighting the initiative as a significant milestone for cryptocurrency adoption. He noted, “Dogs have always brought out the best in us.
