Anil Gupta is stepping away from his role as vice president of investor relations at Coinbase after a notable five-year tenure at the crypto exchange. In a heartfelt announcement on LinkedIn, Gupta expressed his readiness for new adventures, stating, “After five-plus years with Coinbase, I’ve decided it’s time for a new adventure — I’ll be taking some time off before taking my next step.”

Throughout his time at Coinbase, Gupta highlighted significant milestones, including the company’s direct listing, participation in over 20 earnings calls, and the momentous achievement of being the first cryptocurrency company to secure a spot in the S&P 500. He expressed immense gratitude for the talented team at Coinbase, reassuring that he is leaving the company in capable hands.

Much appreciation was directed towards Alesia Haas, the firm’s CFO, with whom he had collaborated closely. He concluded his message with enthusiasm about reconnecting with friends, both personally and professionally.

In a parallel announcement, Johann Rawlinson shared his transition to SPX Technologies as the new vice president of investor relations after five rewarding years with Hertz. He conveyed his deep gratitude for the relationships he built during his time at Hertz while expressing excitement for his new role and the opportunities for growth it will bring.

The trend of leadership changes continued as Amentum, an engineering and tech firm listed on the NYSE, welcomed Joseph DeNardi as its new senior vice president and head of investor relations. CFO Travis Johnson emphasized DeNardi’s extensive experience in the government services and defense sectors, noting his strong leadership skills in investor relations and corporate finance would enhance Amentum’s market position.

In the telecommunications sector, Louise Rich announced her new role as head of investor relations at Telecom Plus, also known as Utility Warehouse. Rich remains optimistic about her new position, describing it as a fascinating opportunity.

Additionally, industry updates included Paige Fox’s promotion to investor relations director at Chubb. In contrast, Sondra Lennon shared her retirement news from Acushnet Company after a fulfilling 27-year career that saw her ascend through various finance roles, ending as vice president of financial planning and analysis, as well as investor relations. Lennon expressed gratitude for her experiences, the opportunities to collaborate with talented colleagues, and the ability to engage with the investment community throughout her career. She looks forward to maintaining connections post-retirement.
