This move is part of the company’s ongoing “10 Year Plan” to enhance its cryptocurrency portfolio. The latest investment totaled £1.53 million, reflecting an average purchase price of £56,799 per Bitcoin.
Overall, Smarter Web’s total expenditure for its Bitcoin holdings amounts to £228.7 million, with an average acquisition cost of £81,544 per Bitcoin. This strategic accumulation underscores the company’s commitment to leveraging opportunities in the cryptocurrency market amid fluctuating prices.
In conjunction with this recent acquisition, total drawings from the company’s Coinbase Strategic Credit Facility have reached £15.0 million. This indicates a leverage ratio of approximately 10.15%. The terms of the facility remain unchanged, with loans secured against existing Bitcoin assets. The facility carries a variable interest rate between 6.75% and 7.25%, and repayments can be made at the company’s discretion without incurring additional charges.
Following the latest acquisition, shares of Smarter Web experienced a notable rise, gaining 8.2% to reach 39.01 pence in trading on Tuesday. The upward movement in stock price reflects investor confidence in the company’s strategic direction and its ongoing commitment to expanding its cryptocurrency assets.
