Bitget, recognized as the world’s largest Universal Exchange (UEX), has reported a remarkable 216% cumulative growth in user numbers across Southeast Asia, solidifying the region as its fastest-growing market. This significant achievement was revealed during the company’s Summer Camp 2026, an event that gathered top executives, regional heads, and influential opinion leaders (KOLs) to focus on enhancing partnerships and understanding Bitget’s evolving product offerings.
Held from May 13 to May 16, 2026, the Summer Camp aimed to deepen regional ties and align strategies for further expansion in Southeast Asia. The agenda included a series of strategic sessions, live product demonstrations, and the second installment in Bitget’s live trading competition series, dubbed the Trading Tournament. This event not only showcased trading skills but also incorporated engaging activities such as golf and pickleball matches to promote networking and collaboration among the attendees.
Rexy Ali, the Vice President of SEA Growth at Bitget, emphasized that the exchange’s thriving performance in Southeast Asia is closely linked to its commitment to community engagement. In-person events like the Summer Camp foster direct communication with partners, KOLs, and users, which in turn provides valuable feedback to enhance their offerings.
Ignacio Aguirre Franco, Bitget’s Chief Marketing Officer, praised the collaborative spirit of the event, noting the diversity of attendees from five different countries. He remarked that the experiences shared during the camp helped unify their efforts toward building Bitget’s future, creating a stronger regional identity.
Southeast Asia’s impressive user growth highlights its importance as a key driver for Bitget’s overall performance. The region has also contributed significantly to the exchange’s trading volume, ranking among the top three markets in terms of derivatives activity as of April 2026. Furthermore, initiatives such as LALIGA Youth Tournaments and MotoGP events have further solidified Bitget’s presence in the region.
Following the success of Spring Camp 2026, where the company introduced its GetClaw feature and launched a new Global Trading Tournament format, the Summer Camp events showcase Bitget’s ongoing commitment to fostering connections between its global teams, local partners, and communities.
Operating with over 125 million users, Bitget offers access to a vast array of financial products, including more than 2 million cryptocurrencies, tokenized stocks, ETFs, and various commodities.
