Bitget, the world’s largest Universal Exchange (UEX), has announced the continuation of its partnership with the UNICEF Game Changers Coalition (GCC) to enhance digital literacy among young people. This collaboration marks the beginning of the second year of their partnership, which has already impacted over 642,000 individuals, including young people, parents, and teachers in eight different countries.

The GCC, spearheaded by UNICEF’s Office of Innovation, aims to expand access to technology education for youths in emerging economies, with a particular emphasis on girls, who represent 52% of the coalition’s participants thus far. Operating in countries such as Armenia, Brazil, Cambodia, India, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Morocco, and South Africa, the coalition offers practical digital skills training through a diverse curriculum, community-based learning programs, and both in-person and online game hackathons.

Having joined the coalition in June 2025 via UNICEF Luxembourg, Bitget’s contributions thus far have centered around promoting technology education. Noteworthy milestones include a significant visit to Cambodia, where Bitget’s Chief Marketing Officer, Ignacio Aguirre, engaged with students, educators, and local partners involved in digital skills initiatives. The visit underscored how foundational digital education can facilitate new employment and entrepreneurship opportunities, particularly for young women and underserved students.

As the partnership progresses into its second year, Bitget plans to bolster the GCC curriculum and extend its geographical reach. The previous year saw Bitget’s CEO, Gracy Chen, actively supporting the inaugural global UNICEF Game Jam, an innovative 40-day initiative that empowered young creators in emerging economies to develop original video games under mentorship while participating in a self-paced online course. Chen emphasized the need for educational systems to keep pace with rapidly evolving technology, noting the remarkable engagement from young individuals when given the opportunity to learn.

This update comes amidst a growing global demand for digital skills, particularly in regions where younger populations are increasingly reliant on mobile technology, yet struggle with traditional technology education avenues. Bitget aims to prioritize digital literacy as a cornerstone of its long-term growth strategy.

UNICEF’s Global Director at the Office of Innovation, Thomas Davin, pointed out the urgent need to equip young people with the skills necessary for the digital economy. He stated that the GCC is a collaborative response to these challenges, uniting industry, governments, and communities to help the next generation gain the confidence and skills required to thrive.

Looking ahead, the partnership will facilitate the GCC’s expansion into three additional countries while introducing new financial literacy and AI modules to its existing curriculum. Bitget will continue its engagement through field visits, executive participation, and support of coalition-led learning experiences, furthering the mission to provide essential skills to underserved youth globally.

Bitget, established in 2018, serves over 120 million users worldwide, providing access to cryptocurrency, tokenized assets, and AI-powered trading tools. Its ecosystem includes Bitget Wallet, a finance app utilized by more than 80 million individuals. Through collaborations with organizations such as LALIGA, MotoGP™, and UNICEF, Bitget is committed to driving global cryptocurrency adoption.

UNICEF operates in over 190 countries to uplift disadvantaged children and progress toward a better future for all children. The organization’s Luxembourg branch mobilizes private sector support and advocates for children’s rights, focusing on reducing inequalities and enhancing access to basic necessities such as education and justice.
