Bitget, one of the leading players in the cryptocurrency exchange and Web3 sector, has announced a groundbreaking partnership with the Erasmus Student Network (ESN) Luzern. This collaboration aims to enhance awareness and understanding of Web3 technologies among students, ultimately fostering the next generation of digital leaders.
The initiative kicked off with an engaging “Game Night” event held on September 8th and 9th at the Gameorama Spielmuseum in Luzern. Designed as an immersive experience, the event attracted over 100 students from the University of Lucerne, Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, and PH Luzern. The two-day affair included a foundational educational session on cryptocurrencies and decentralized finance, followed by an array of gaming activities ranging from VR games to classic arcade offerings.
Vugar Usi Zade, the Chief Operating Officer of Bitget, emphasized the importance of practical knowledge in the digital domain. “Most programs simply teach theory; we are focused on closing the practicality gap,” he explained. The collaboration seeks to do more than educate; it aims to mold students into future developers and entrepreneurs capable of leveraging decentralized technology for impactful change.
ESN Luzern, a branch of the non-profit organization dedicated to supporting international students in Switzerland, aligns closely with Bitget’s objectives. Tom Haak, President of ESN Luzern, noted, “Our mission… is equipping students with the knowledge and skills they’ll need for the future.” This partnership provides an accessible platform for students eager to dive into Web3 technologies.
The collaboration underscores the growing need for digital literacy among today’s youth, offering significant growth opportunities for future careers. Plans are underway for a follow-up workshop titled “DeFi 2.0 & The Rise of Real-World Assets” at HSLU Informatik & Wirtschaft. This session aims to explore crucial topics such as the tokenization of Real-World Assets (RWAs), cross-chain DeFi protocols, and advanced yield strategies in the Swiss regulatory landscape.
Moreover, this partnership is part of Bitget’s global Blockchain4Youth initiative, which aims to empower 1 million students and early-career professionals with practical blockchain skills by 2026. The program will feature workshops, hackathons, and industry collaborations throughout Europe, further building on the success of the recent “Crypto Experience Month,” which engaged over 2,000 students worldwide.
With a commitment to fostering practical Web3 education, Bitget and ESN Luzern are paving the way for the next wave of digital innovators, equipping them with the necessary tools and skills to navigate and enhance the evolving landscape of technology.
Established in 2018, Bitget serves over 120 million users in more than 150 countries, offering advanced trading solutions and a non-custodial crypto wallet supporting various blockchains and tokens. The exchange actively promotes crypto adoption through its strategic partnerships and has plans to support blockchain education further through initiatives aimed at reaching 1.1 million people by 2027.
This partnership marks a significant step in making Web3 education practical and accessible, setting the foundation for the future of blockchain and decentralized technologies.
