Bitget, the world’s largest Universal Exchange (UEX), is pleased to announce its ongoing partnership with the Google Developer Group on Campus (GDGoC) ETH Zurich, aiming to accelerate Web3 and AI skills among students. This collaboration, part of Bitget’s educational initiative Blockchain4Youth, will see the exchange support and co-organize various GDG events, including hackathons and workshops, throughout the upcoming year.
The Google Developer Group on Campus serves as a platform for tech enthusiasts, with over 1,260 clubs globally. The Zurich chapter, founded in 2020, functions as a student-driven tech community for students at ETH Zurich, a premier institution renowned for its contributions to science, technology, and engineering. The group facilitates a range of activities, from workshops to hack nights, fostering connections among developers, designers, and researchers.
In this partnership, Bitget aims to enhance student understanding of emerging technologies. The events will feature panel discussions and hands-on activities where Bitget’s expertise in the Web3 market will be front and center. Students can also apply to participate in the Graduate Program, which offers practical experience in the industry.
Ignacio Aguirre, CMO of Bitget, expressed pride in the collaboration, highlighting the commitment to innovation and education. He emphasized the importance of equipping the upcoming generation with the skills needed to navigate the dynamic Web3 landscape.
Dario Monopoli, Lead GDG on Campus Zurich, echoed this sentiment, noting that the partnership transcends sponsorships, allowing students access to real-world insights in fields such as algorithmic trading and blockchain infrastructure.
This successful collaboration kicked off earlier this year and included sponsorship of multiple events, such as the “Build with AI” Hackathon at Constructor University in May, which attracted 130 participants. Following this, the “AI accelerate Hack” at KU Leuven in Belgium and the Devfest at Google’s Brussels offices were also significant milestones for the partnership.
Future events are anticipated to include collaborative hackathons and special meetups, featuring sessions from industry experts and interactive workshops with key figures in the market. By facilitating these initiatives, Bitget aims to actively support the growth of the Web3 community and maximize the potential of blockchain technology in everyday life.
Established in 2018, Bitget caters to over 120 million users, offering access to numerous cryptocurrency tokens, tokenized stocks, ETFs, and various real-world assets.
