In a compelling address at TEDx Forbes Park on September 8, Bitget’s Chief Operating Officer, Vugar Usi Zade, emphasized the significance of blockchain education, arguing that it holds greater importance than the technology itself. His talk, titled “The Next Billion Minds: Why Blockchain Education Matters More Than Blockchain Itself,” was part of a carefully curated program by the Global AI Council.

Vugar’s presentation drew on real-world experiences from Bitget’s educational initiatives, highlighting how literacy and access to knowledge can empower individuals long before they engage with financial data or complex protocols. His message resonated within a lineup of diverse speakers, including experts from various fields, all reflecting the conference’s commitment to exploring systems, vision, and culture.

“Education is a pathway from curiosity to independence to innovation,” Vugar stated. He reinforced that the ultimate goal goes beyond merely developing blockchain technology; it is about cultivating a generation of thinkers who dare to question norms, innovate solutions, and contribute meaningfully to society.

Ahead of Vugar’s appearance, Bitget celebrated its seventh anniversary with a lively event dubbed Builders Night. This gathering featured activities tailored to creators, such as AMAs, workshops, and competitions, showcasing Bitget’s dedication to fostering a robust community. Philippines Country Manager Jose Mendoza acknowledged the growth of the Builder community in the region, attributing it to providing talent with both autonomy and learning resources.

Vugar’s initiatives, particularly the Blockchain4Youth and Blockchain4Her programs, aim to embed financial literacy and Web3 skills into everyday education. By doing so, Bitget is paving the way for young people to not only understand the evolving economy but to actively participate in it.

Bitget, established in 2018, is heralded as a leading cryptocurrency exchange and Web3 company with over 120 million users across more than 150 countries. The platform not only facilitates smarter trading through features like copy trading but also supports a comprehensive crypto wallet offering access to numerous DApps and advanced trading features.

The company is committed to driving crypto adoption through strategic initiatives, such as its role in partnering with major sports leagues and organizations. Notably, Bitget is the official crypto partner for LALIGA in Eastern, Southeast Asia, and LATAM markets, and has also joined forces with UNICEF to champion blockchain education for 1.1 million individuals by 2027.

This event and Bitget’s ongoing initiatives underscore the growing recognition of blockchain education as a crucial component of economic empowerment and innovation in the digital age. Through the power of knowledge, Vugar Usi Zade believes that the next billion minds can be shaped to navigate and lead in the future landscape of Web3.
