Bitget, the world’s largest Universal Exchange (UEX), has officially launched “Lady Forward,” marking a significant update to its established initiative, Blockchain4Her. This new direction emphasizes the role of women in the blockchain space, not merely as participants but as leaders, innovators, and decision-makers in the evolving landscape of Web3.
Initially launched in January 2024, Blockchain4Her has operated under four key strategic pillars: Elevating, Empowering, Educating, and Embracing. The program has already had notable successes, including funding 11 women-led startups through its Pitch n’ Slay competition, reaching over 300,000 individuals via UNICEF’s Game Changers Coalition, and facilitating numerous global meetups. With the introduction of “Lady Forward,” the initiative aims to deepen these efforts by creating sustainable leadership pipelines and fostering greater community impact.
“‘Lady first’ signifies external validation, while ‘Lady Forward’ represents an action-driven mindset,” said Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget and the creator of Blockchain4Her. “It indicates that we are not passively waiting for opportunities; rather, we are actively constructing pathways and leading the charge in shaping the future of Web3. With Blockchain4Her, we equip women with the necessary tools to forge their paths, reinforcing our commitment to women’s leadership.”
Future programs under the “Lady Forward” initiative will include enhanced university collaborations, innovative internship opportunities, and the launch of a Female Leaders Program designed to connect women across the blockchain ecosystem—spanning developers, investors, entrepreneurs, and policymakers. At the upcoming TOKEN2049 event in Singapore, Bitget will showcase a dedicated booth for Blockchain4Her called the Pop Forward Station, which will feature engaging activities and opportunities to connect with Gracy Chen and other influential female figures in the sector.
This latest initiative reinforces Bitget’s commitment to fostering inclusivity within the blockchain industry. By drawing lessons from its initial phase and setting ambitious goals under “Lady Forward,” Bitget aims to empower women not only to participate in the decentralized world but to take charge and lead it.
Established in 2018, Bitget serves over 120 million users across more than 150 countries, supporting various trading solutions and a leading non-custodial crypto wallet serving over 130 blockchains. The exchange is also deeply invested in promoting crypto adoption through strategic partnerships, including collaborations with LALIGA and UNICEF to facilitate blockchain education for millions by 2027.
As Bitget moves forward with its initiatives, the company seeks to reinforce the role of women in shaping the future of technology and innovation within the blockchain ecosystem.
