Bitget has taken a significant leap forward in its development as a comprehensive trading platform by officially launching its traditional finance (TradFi) trading suite to the public after a successful beta phase. This release showcases Bitget’s ambition to become a universal exchange (UEX) by consolidating various trading opportunities under one roof.
The public launch comes on the heels of a private beta that attracted substantial attention, with over 80,000 users expressing interest in trading beyond cryptocurrencies. Participants in the beta engaged vigorously with the platform, especially in trading gold, forex, and global macro assets, underscoring a robust demand for integrated trading solutions that encompass both digital and traditional markets.
During the beta testing period, trading activity reached impressive levels, including XAU/USD recording over $100 million in a single day, highlighting strong user engagement and interest in cross-asset trading. As a direct result of this overwhelming response, Bitget has now made its TradFi trading available to all users, offering up to 79 instruments that include metals, forex, indices, and commodities, all settled in USDT.
Bitget’s approach is tailored specifically for crypto-native traders, allowing them to engage with macro-driven strategies without needing to navigate different platforms. The design aims to facilitate seamless transitions between cryptocurrencies and traditional assets, aligning with the modern trader’s preferences for risk management and diversification.
Feedback collected during the beta phase has led to enhancements in liquidity, spreads, and leverage options, ensuring a refined trading experience upon launch. The initiative reflects Bitget’s commitment to responding to its users’ needs and positioning itself as a versatile platform for a wide range of financial interests.
Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget, emphasized the platform’s goal of providing traders with the flexibility to operate within a unified ecosystem. This vision aligns with the evolving landscape of trading, where the separation between asset classes is increasingly blurred, enabling users to adapt their strategies based on market conditions easily.
With the official introduction of TradFi trading, Bitget is not only expanding its service offerings but also signaling a wider trend of exchanges evolving beyond mere speculative venues to become comprehensive gateways to global financial markets. This shift is indicative of the changing expectations of traders who seek integrated solutions that enhance their trading capabilities across various asset types.
