Bitget Wallet has expanded its offerings by adding support for the Base network, known for its gas-free transaction capabilities, along with existing support for Arbitrum, Solana, and TRON. This strategic move allows Bitget Wallet users to conduct up to three gas-free transfers and three gas-free swaps daily on the Base network, eliminating the need to hold ETH for transaction fees.

This gas-free feature will be available on Base for an initial three-month period, specifically for users accessing the service through Bitget Wallet’s mobile app. The integration follows a recent partnership with Aerodrome, a leading decentralized exchange on Base, enabling users to engage in trading, staking, and liquidity provision directly from the app.

Jamie Elkaleh, the Chief Marketing Officer at Bitget Wallet, emphasized that this enhancement is part of a larger initiative aimed at simplifying on-chain access across rapidly growing ecosystems. By abstracting gas fees and removing the requirement to maintain gas tokens across different chains, Bitget Wallet is significantly lowering barriers for everyday users and facilitating a smoother onboarding process for newcomers.

The addition of Base is a continuation of Bitget Wallet’s commitment to minimizing transactional costs through its innovative Paymaster infrastructure, which programmatically sponsors eligible user gas fees on supported blockchains. With this update, Base becomes the fourth network to feature native gas-free support, alongside Arbitrum, Solana, and TRON. Data from Bitget Wallet indicates impressive activity, with users completing over 80,000 gas-free transactions on Solana, more than 10,000 on Arbitrum, and saving upwards of 250,000 USDT in gas fees on TRON.

Now supporting gas abstraction on four distinct networks, Bitget Wallet also offers further coverage through GetGas, a pre-funded balance system designed to manage fees across ten major blockchains. This comprehensive wallet supports more than 130 blockchains and is accessible worldwide via mobile devices and browser extensions.

Bitget Wallet aims to simplify the crypto experience for all users and is committed to fostering wider adoption of cryptocurrency. With over 80 million users, it provides a robust suite of services, including swaps, market insights, staking, rewards, DApp exploration, and payment solutions. Backed by a user protection fund exceeding $700 million, it prioritizes the security of its users’ assets while striving to make crypto a seamless part of everyday life for a billion people.
