Bitwise Asset Management has successfully listed five new crypto exchange-traded products (ETPs) on the SIX Swiss Exchange, expanding its footprint in the European cryptocurrency market. This announcement highlights Bitwise’s commitment to offering innovative investment options amidst shifting regulatory landscapes and rising investor interest in digital assets.
The newly listed ETPs include four products linked to major cryptocurrencies by market capitalization—Bitwise Core Bitcoin ETP, Ethereum Staking ETP, Solana Staking ETP, and Physical XRP ETP. Additionally, the MSCI Digital Assets Select 20 ETP has been introduced, which tracks the performance of the MSCI Global Digital Assets Select Top 20 Capped Index. This index provides a broad exposure, covering over 90% of the total investable cryptocurrency market capitalization and is rebalanced quarterly.
Ronald Richter, Regional Director of Investment Strategy for Bitwise in Europe, emphasized the significance of these products in broadening investment choices for those aiming to tap into the potential of cryptocurrency markets. He remarked on Europe’s evolving stance towards digital assets, positioning Switzerland as a central market for such investments.
The listing is strategically timed as European demand for cryptocurrency-related investment products continues to grow. Regulatory changes, such as the upcoming easing of retail access to crypto exchange-traded notes in the UK, are creating new avenues for investment, following a lengthy period of stringent regulations concerning consumer risks and market volatility.
Bradley Duke, Head of Europe at Bitwise, noted that the expansion into the Swiss market aligns with the company’s goal of providing high-quality crypto ETPs. He highlighted the backing of these ETPs by their respective digital assets, which are secured in institutional-grade cold storage – promising a level of assurance akin to that offered by precious metal exchange-traded commodities.
This latest move aligns with Bitwise’s overall growth strategy, as it has seen a substantial increase in client assets, which reached $15 billion across 40 investment products as of August 2025, marking a remarkable 200% growth since October 2024. The successful launch of these new ETPs underscores a significant moment for both Bitwise and the broader European cryptocurrency landscape, signaling a progression towards more comprehensive and accessible investment opportunities in digital assets.
