Brandi Glanville, known for her role on “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” is in the midst of a distressing situation involving a hacker who is reportedly making her life extremely difficult. The hacker has allegedly demanded thousands of dollars in bitcoin, prompting Glanville to seek assistance from the FBI.
According to sources, a representative for Glanville has filed two complaints with the Internet Crime Complaint Center, a branch of the FBI that addresses online criminal activity. The allegations detail troubling communications that indicate a breach of her personal information.
In one instance, Glanville’s medical professional, Dr. Ariel Ourian, received a message from a Michigan phone number, purportedly from Glanville. The text expressed gratitude for a recent medical procedure, asserting that she felt significantly better and appreciated the doctor’s care. However, Ourian recognized that the contact number was different from the one she had for Glanville and sought clarification.
The impersonator responded by claiming they had changed carriers and provided an explanation for the new number. This scenario triggered further alarm as Glanville’s team indicated that she also received an email from someone claiming to possess sensitive information, including her passwords, banking details, and contact list. The hacker demanded a payment of $7,500 in bitcoin and threatened to “wreak havoc” if their demands were not met. Although Glanville deleted the email shortly after reading it, the implications of the threat were far-reaching.
Sources close to Glanville indicated that she was preoccupied with her health issues at the time and did not fully comprehend the severity of the situation. However, she later discovered that unauthorized transactions had been made using her credit cards in Ukraine, which she suspects are linked to the ongoing hacking incident.
Currently, Glanville is actively working with her bank to resolve these issues, seeking to protect her finances and regain control over her personal information. The reality star’s troubling experience underscores the increasing risks associated with online security and the impact of cybercrime on individuals’ lives.
