ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Denver Broncos have made several roster moves as they prepare for their Week 15 matchup against the Green Bay Packers.
In a strategic decision, the Broncos have promoted inside linebacker Jordan Turner from their practice squad to the active 53-man roster, a move announced by the team on Saturday. This promotion marks Turner’s fourth elevation in the past six games, during which he has made three tackles and participated in 59 percent of the special teams snaps. Given the necessity for further contributions this season, the Broncos’ move ensures that Turner will be available to take the field.
Additionally, the team has elevated wide receiver Michael Bandy and quarterback Sam Ehlinger from the practice squad for the upcoming game. Bandy has seen action in two games this season, securing a catch against the Houston Texans. His addition comes after the Broncos ruled out wide receiver Pat Bryant for Sunday’s contest, limiting their options in the receiving corps.
Ehlinger, who has been a part of the Broncos’ active roster earlier in the season, will be making his first elevation this year. His inclusion adds depth to the quarterback position as the team navigates through player rotations.
In other roster news, tight end Marcedes Lewis has been signed back to the practice squad following his recent waiver on Thursday. Lewis has participated in 25 percent of the Broncos’ offensive snaps across four games this season, contributing to the team’s flexible offensive strategies.
The Broncos will be facing off against the Packers in their upcoming home game, set to kick off at 2:25 p.m. MT on CBS. As both teams prepare for the showdown, the Broncos’ roster adjustments reflect their commitment to strengthening their lineup as they look to secure a win in the next critical phase of the season.
