DUBAI, UAE – Bybit, recognized as the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, has announced the launch of the Sri Lankan chapter of the Bybit Rising Fund. This initiative is a collaborative effort with Ceylon Cash, the leading force behind Web3Ceylon, which stands as Sri Lanka’s largest community-led blockchain education and adoption program. The partnership aims to enhance Web3 literacy and empower the youth with the knowledge and skills vital for participating in the blockchain technology arena and the burgeoning digital economy.
As part of this initiative, Bybit and Ceylon Cash will organize a series of educational seminars across four key cities in Sri Lanka. These seminars are set to take place in Colombo on September 20, 2025, Galle on September 17, 2025, Kandy on September 28, 2025, and Ella on October 12, 2025. The seminars are designed to elevate awareness and understanding of blockchain technologies, drawing in newcomers, researchers, creators, and builders, who can expect a comprehensive introduction to cryptocurrencies, distributed ledger technology, and on-chain security.
The series of events will provide significant opportunities for local builders, learners, and educators by linking them with experts at the forefront of blockchain innovation and security. Participants have the chance to engage in hands-on workshops covering the essentials, such as digital wallets, smart contracts, and the development of Web3 projects. Additionally, industry insiders will share real-world case studies showcasing the practical applications and business aspects of blockchain technology.
With up to 600 seats available across the four cities, the events aim to foster connections among creators, builders, and entrepreneurs, shaping pathways for growth opportunities in Sri Lanka while addressing the specific needs of local communities. Registration for these seminars is required and contingent upon approval.
Commenting on the initiative, Nazar Tymoshchuk, Bybit’s Regional Manager, emphasized the importance of education in cultivating a sustainable future in Web3.
