A cooler and breezy Tuesday is in store for residents as the day starts with comfortable temperatures in the low 70s. However, the high temperatures are expected to struggle to reach the mid to upper 70s due to overcast skies and intermittent rain throughout the day.
This unsettled weather pattern is fueled by lingering moisture associated with a stalled frontal boundary to the south. Afternoon and evening showers and storms are possible, and as the day progresses, wind conditions will strengthen, posing potential hazards for beachgoers and boaters. The high risk of rip currents along the Atlantic beaches has led to a warning, while a small craft advisory has been issued for the Atlantic waters due to northeast winds ranging from 15 to 20 miles per hour, creating choppy conditions on the bays. Boat operators are advised to exercise caution, particularly near the Keys where conditions are expected to be turbulent.
Looking ahead, Wednesday morning promises slightly cooler temperatures, dipping into the upper 60s, with daytime highs projected to reach around 80 degrees under mostly sunny skies. The chances of rain will diminish, limited to only isolated showers.
A more significant weather pattern shift is anticipated with the arrival of a stronger cold front, which will bring cooler air into the region. Thursday morning will be notably chilly, with lows forecasted to drop into the mid to upper 50s, accompanied by a significant decrease in humidity.
As high pressure settles in later in the week, residents can look forward to refreshingly cool mornings and pleasant afternoons, with Thursday and Friday highs in the upper 70s. The upcoming weekend is expected to see a slight increase in temperatures, reaching the low 80s, with the possibility of spotty showers.
