Authorities are currently engaged in a challenging firefighting operation at a restaurant in Muskego, reportedly the Bass Bay Brewhouse. The fire erupted early this morning just north of Bass Bay, quickly escalating into a significant blaze that engulfed the entire building.
Eyewitness reports indicate that the structure was completely consumed by flames, sending thick plumes of black smoke billowing into the sky. News Chopper 12 captured dramatic footage showing the building ablaze while firefighters struggled against harsh conditions exacerbated by snow covering the roof. As the fire raged, melting snow contributed to a thick steam rising from the site.
Firefighters onsite have activated at least one hose line but are facing logistical challenges due to the absence of fire hydrants in the immediate area. They have had to rely on tanker trucks to deliver water, with reports confirming that one load of water has already been dumped into a portable reservoir.
Conditions are particularly difficult for responding crews as they work to bring the blaze under control. With the frigid weather and limited water supply, officials have expressed concerns about their ability to effectively combat the fire.
The situation remains fluid, and additional updates are expected as more information becomes available about the incident and any potential damages or injuries. The community is urged to stay clear of the area while emergency services manage the scene.
