Crypto.com has announced a significant advancement for its institutional clients by fully integrating the Lynq network’s real-time settlement solution. This new capability allows clients to access funding and settlement services around the clock, effectively removing the constraints of traditional banking hours and eliminating weekend dormancy periods for transactions.
The integration means that institutional clients can fund their accounts directly through Lynq’s settlement network, facilitating instant trading capacity without the need to maintain substantial on-exchange balances. This off-exchange collateral management strategy allows firms to operate more efficiently in the crypto market, which has historically been limited by conventional financial systems, such as SWIFT and Fedwire.
One of the standout features of this integration is the yield-in-transit functionality, which ensures that clients continue earning interest on their funds even during transfers and settlements. This technology eliminates yield-breaking events caused by traditional transaction processes, where funds were often rendered inactive during settlement periods. Instead, the system allows for continuous earning, acting as a seamless bridge for transactions.
The Lynq network was developed in collaboration with prominent industry partners, including Fireblocks, Wintermute, GSR, Aquanow, DV Chain, and Nonco, ensuring a robust and industry-aligned offering. Crypto.com became the first exchange to fully integrate these services, signaling a strong move towards innovation in the cryptocurrency trading space.
This announcement follows a series of strategic partnerships and technological advancements for Crypto.com, including collaborations in the prediction market sector. The firm had previously launched an intelligence service in tandem with ERShares and Signal Markets and entered into agreements with MyPrize and Hollywood.com, further diversifying its offerings.
In a related development, Crypto.com is actively seeking a quant trader for its emerging sports prediction market service, indicating ongoing expansion and investment in niche areas of the cryptocurrency market. The role will involve managing financial contracts tied to sports outcomes, emphasizing the exchange’s commitment to broadening its reach in innovative financial products.
As Crypto.com continues to enhance its service offerings, clients can expect greater efficiency and new opportunities, further securing its position in the rapidly evolving landscape of cryptocurrency trading.
