Crypto.com Exchange has announced a significant integration with OpenClaw, an emerging open-source autonomous artificial intelligence (AI) platform designed to enhance user experience through automated trading. This collaboration aims to provide both retail and institutional investors with a streamlined way to connect their accounts and leverage advanced AI capabilities for trading.
To facilitate this integration, Crypto.com has developed a user-friendly step-by-step guide that ensures a secure and smooth connection to OpenClaw. This service is accessible to a diverse range of users, regardless of their prior trading experience. By enabling automated trading through intelligent AI agents, Crypto.com seeks to enhance trading efficiency and accessibility.
The process kicks off with users logging into their Crypto.com Exchange account. By clicking on the profile icon located at the top-right corner of the dashboard, users are directed to the “Manage Account” section. In this initial phase, they will create a Sub-account, which serves to enhance security and maintain better organization of their trading activities.
Setting up a Sub-account is straightforward: users click a button on the Account Management page, name their Sub-account—suggested as “OpenClaw2” for easy identification—and confirm its creation. Following this, users proceed to API Management to establish their API key settings, a critical step for automated trading.
To ensure a secure connection, users must create a new API key by navigating to the Account drop-down menu, selecting their newly established Sub-account, and proceeding to click on “Create a new API key.” They’ll enter a label for the API key—again, something descriptive like “OpenClaw2”—and must also provide a two-factor authentication (2FA) code for security verification. It’s crucial to securely copy the secret key generated during this process, as it will be shown only once.
Finally, users need to configure the API Permissions by clicking the edit button. This involves enabling essential permissions for OpenClaw to operate effectively and adding the IP address of the OpenClaw server to a whitelist. Users must continue to utilize the 2FA code to confirm these changes, completing the setup of their Crypto.com Exchange account’s connection to the automated functionalities of OpenClaw.
Overall, this integration promises to simplify the trading process and quickly empower users to enhance their trading strategies with automation, requiring only a few minutes to establish a functional link for automated trading. Crypto.com shared this development through its official social media account on platform X, indicating its commitment to innovation in the cryptocurrency trading space.
