DWF Labs, a leading name in the Web3 investment and market-making space, has reaffirmed its commitment to support Web3 Unleashed for the third consecutive year. As the official event partner, the firm will actively participate in the DMCC x Bybit hackathon, enhancing the competitive landscape with a significant contribution to the $140,000 prize pool.
Set to return in 2025 under the theme “Shaping the Next Wave of Web3,” the hackathon will open its submission period from September 1 to October 5. Organized by the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) alongside Bybit exchange, the event aims to foster innovation in the Web3 space, with DWF Labs playing a crucial role as an official partner.
In addition to its financial backing, members of the DWF Labs team will assume judging roles during the competition, which is expected to attract submissions from web3 developer teams on a global scale. This year’s edition introduces two innovative tracks: DeFAI, exploring the convergence of decentralized finance and artificial intelligence, and DeSci, aimed at advancements in decentralized science and research.
Joining DWF Labs in their support, organizations such as Hacken, Cointelegraph, Open Platform, Blockchain for Good Alliance (BGA), Verse8, CROSS, Blockchain Gaming Alliance (BGA), and CV Labs will also contribute to the event. Their collective goal is to catalyze the development of practical Web3 solutions that address real-world challenges.
Hackathon participants will find themselves in a collaborative environment where they can refine their ideas into tangible solutions, with guidance from industry founders, investors, and entrepreneurs. This initiative not only empowers participants but also positions them for success in the industry, with the most promising projects receiving the necessary resources to advance their innovations.
Andrei Grachev, Managing Partner of DWF Labs, expressed enthusiasm about this year’s hackathon, stating, “We’re delighted to be supporting Web3 Unleashed for the third year running and contributing to the $140,000 prize pool. With two new tracks and significant developer interest, this year’s event is set to raise the bar in terms of what can be built with blockchain technology by the world’s most creative developer teams.”
Reflecting on the previous edition in 2024, an array of blockchain startups and developer teams showcased their decentralized solutions in areas including AI, zero-knowledge protocols, identity systems, and digital infrastructure. The top five projects subsequently shared in the prize pool after rigorous evaluations by the judges.
Following the upcoming application phase, which spans from September 1 to October 5, submissions will undergo a remote assessment process. The top five finalists will then be invited to present their innovations live on November 26 at DMCC’s flagship commercial tower, S/O Uptown Dubai. This event will feature presentations to a panel of investors, advisors, and industry specialists, including members from DWF Labs, Bybit, DMCC Crypto Centre, Hacken, Injective, Meezan Ventures, and Cointelegraph, culminating in both an awards ceremony and an afterparty.
