Easter Monday will see regular business operations across various sectors in the United States, as it is not recognized as a federal holiday. This means that major stock exchanges, such as the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and Nasdaq, will be open for trading.
After the market closure on Good Friday, traders are set to return on Easter Monday, and all trading services are expected to function normally. The Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association has confirmed that trading will take place throughout the day.
In addition to the stock markets, most banks will also remain open. According to the Federal Reserve, bank branches will operate on their standard schedules, providing services to customers.
The United States Postal Service (USPS) will continue its operations as well, delivering mail on Easter Monday. Regular services will be provided, ensuring that residents receive their letters and packages without interruption.
FedEx and UPS will also be fully operational on Easter Monday. Customers can expect both delivery and pickup services as scheduled.
In Indiana, however, Easter Monday is not designated as a state holiday. As a result, state government offices will remain open. Schools across the state may vary in their operations; some could be closed due to spring break or other local decisions, while others might hold classes as usual. Parents and guardians are advised to verify the status with their local schools.
Despite its significance in the Christian calendar, Easter Monday’s status as a non-holiday allows for business continuity in multiple sectors.
