Google’s latest AI model, Gemini 3, has made waves in the tech community following positive reviews from early users, including Hugh Langley from Business Insider. As part of its latest offerings, Gemini 3 is seen as a direct competitor to other advanced AI models like OpenAI’s GPT-5 and xAI’s Grok 4. The buzz surrounding Gemini 3 has even propelled Google’s stock to record highs this week, closely aligning the company’s market value with that of Microsoft.
Hugh’s preliminary exploration of Gemini 3 has highlighted its notable strengths, particularly its enhanced multimodal and coding capabilities. He remarked on Gemini 3’s ability to generate new content, describing it as impressive. Langley has tested the AI’s powers in a developer-friendly environment dubbed AI Studio, which allows access to Google’s AI tools via the internet.
In one of his initial experiments, Langley tasked Gemini 3 with creating an interactive website focused on elephants. While he specified minimal instructions, the AI significantly filled in the gaps, creating a site that featured entertaining widgets and trivia. One standout feature of the site generated a fact about elephants with each button press, along with a mini-game where users had to feed an animated elephant peanuts.
Expanding on the capabilities of Gemini 3, Langley asked the AI to create an interactive website that illustrated the process of photosynthesis. The AI generated a setup with sliders to manipulate the levels of sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide. Although Langley humorously noted that he didn’t actually produce energy, he found the execution impressive.
The versatility of Gemini 3 has inspired users to explore a variety of creative projects. Langley was intrigued by the possibility of generating a 3D Lego creator through a simple prompt. Based on shared experiences, other users have also reported creating video games with Gemini, tapping into its potential for game development.
Prominent AI researcher Jeff Dean has showcased some of these games, demonstrating how Gemini 3 can swiftly create functional gaming experiences using basic text prompts. Inspired by this, Langley set out to create a game he called “Super Dario Land,” in which players navigated to help Anthropic’s CEO, Dario Amodei, reach the correct warp pipe, resulting in a theoretical reward of AGI. With some refinements, the game became playable, illustrating the ease with which users can harness Gemini 3’s capabilities.
As excitement builds around Gemini 3 and its multifaceted applications, many are eager to see what innovative creations will emerge from this new AI service.
