Keeta has officially launched the mainnet of its blockchain network, claiming to be the most scalable Layer 1 (L1) blockchain in the world. This announcement came after a period of stealth development and extensive testing, bolstered by $20 million in backing from a group of prominent investors.
The Keeta Network promises to handle up to 10 million transactions per second, with a settlement time of just 400 milliseconds. It integrates a suite of features including Know Your Customer (KYC) compliance, digital identity solutions, on-chain foreign exchange capabilities, and a flexible rules engine designed to facilitate global financial transactions.
Among the mainnet’s transformative capabilities are asset transfers from various systems or chains, seamless asset swaps, and a straightforward off-ramping process for users. Ty Schenk, the Founder and CEO of Keeta, emphasized the significance of the launch, highlighting the hard work of the team and expressing excitement about introducing their advanced technology to the world.
In a public stress test conducted in June 2025, the Keeta Network showcased its remarkable potential by achieving a verified rate of 11.2 million transactions per second, making it the fastest blockchain network ever evaluated. This test was a collaboration with Google’s Spanner engineering team and involved monitoring by third-party validator Chainspect to ensure the integrity and security of transactions through cryptographic verification.
The performance exhibited in this stress test eclipsed the capabilities of existing blockchain networks like Solana by 2,500 times. Additionally, it surpassed the combined throughput of global financial systems such as Visa, FedNow, and SWIFT.
With the mainnet launch, Keeta enters a burgeoning ecosystem, having previously recorded impressive statistics on its testnet. It boasts 235 million distinct wallets, with 42 million having conducted transactions. Since the launch of its native token, $KTA, in March 2025, 13 different exchanges have listed the cryptocurrency.
Eric Schmidt, former CEO of Google and an investor in Keeta, remarked on the company’s potential to transform the global financial landscape. He lauded the combination of technical excellence and regulatory understanding demonstrated by the Keeta team, expressing confidence in their vision.
The $KTA token serves dual functions within the network: facilitating transaction fees and acting as a governance token. As the ecosystem develops further, $KTA aims to empower decentralized decision-making and promote community engagement.
Keeta has emerged with a mission to revolutionize global finance by creating an advanced blockchain infrastructure. Established in 2022 and with notable backers like Eric Schmidt, Keeta strives to replace outdated financial systems with a new model that enhances how value is transferred across borders. The innovative technology incorporates built-in compliance and digital identity, bridging the gap between traditional finance and decentralized finance (DeFi).
