Pete Golding and the Ole Miss Rebels have officially brought on Kelvin Bolden as their new Assistant General Manager, marking a significant transition after a brief stint at LSU. Bolden’s return to Ole Miss comes after a successful season in Baton Rouge, where he reunited with LSU General Manager Austin Thomas. The two professionals had previously built a rapport during their time together at Ole Miss, which initially led to Bolden’s hiring at LSU prior to the 2025 football season.
In February, Bolden earned accolades from On3 Sports, highlighting him as one of college football’s ‘off-field recruiting stars’ for 2025. His expertise in recruiting strategy has already made a substantial impact, contributing to Ole Miss securing a highly regarded class ranked No. 19 by On3.
A graduate of Perkinston High School in Mississippi, Bolden has established himself as a vital asset for the Rebels. His career in collegiate football began at the community college level, where he played at Mississippi Gulf Coast before moving on to Southern Miss. During his time with the Golden Eagles, he made significant contributions, racking up 104 receptions for 1,393 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Before his recent role at LSU as Sr. Associate Athletics Director/Assistant General Manager, Bolden built a diverse coaching portfolio. He served as the wide receiver assistant coach and Director of Recruiting Relations at UCF and spent time at Florida in 2021 as the Assistant Director of Player Personnel. His journey also includes experience as a graduate assistant at Arkansas.
Bolden’s professional achievements are matched by his personal accolades; he was inducted into the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Athletics Hall of Fame in 2020 and into the Ocean Springs Sports Hall of Fame in 2023.
The Ole Miss coaching staff is optimistic that Bolden’s return will bolster their recruiting efforts and further enhance the program’s overall strategy as they look ahead to the upcoming seasons.
