In the wake of the much-celebrated wedding between Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen and actress Hailee Steinfeld, wide receiver Khalil Shakir shared his thoughts on the positive aura radiating through the team. Speaking in an exclusive interview, Shakir reflected on how love can significantly influence performance both on and off the field, particularly in the context of Allen’s personal life following his union with Steinfeld.
Shakir, who recently partnered with Kelley Blue Book, highlighted the importance of having a solid support system at home. “Love is an amazing thing,” he remarked, asserting that Allen has always exhibited talent on the field, but his relationship with Steinfeld has taken his game to another level. Shakir emphasized that a loving partner provides unwavering support, regardless of performance during games. “When you have somebody that loves you and is going to be there for you no matter your best game or worst game, they love you for who you are as a person, not who you are as a football player,” he explained.
Reflecting on his own experiences, Shakir noted the benefits of being married, mentioning how it creates a nurturing environment that fosters emotional stability. “Being married helps a lot,” he said. “I come home, and there’s nothing but love in the household. If you need a shoulder to cry on, they’re there for you every single step of the way. I think love just boosts your game, and it allows you to be more free every time you leave the house.”
The recent wedding of Allen and Steinfeld was another highlight for Shakir, who described it as “insane” and “beautiful from start to finish.” He appreciated the meticulous organization of the event and expressed his gratitude for being included among the attendees alongside other teammates.
Shakir also shared his thoughts on the recent Hallmark Christmas movie, “Holiday Touchdown,” which features a Bills-centric storyline. While he’s not an avid fan of the genre, his interest has grown due to his wife’s enthusiasm for Hallmark films. He praised the production quality and mentioned that having his teammates featured enhanced the viewing experience. “I thought it was put together well, and I think having some of my teammates in there made it much more fun to watch,” he noted.
Amid the celebratory atmosphere, Shakir hinted at a willingness to make a cameo in future Hallmark movies, expressing a playful interest in teaming up with his Bills colleagues for potential roles. “Yes sir,” he laughed, showing that he’s open to bringing a bit of football flair to the world of holiday-themed cinema.
The camaraderie among the players, combined with personal milestones like Allen’s marriage, certainly seems to be fostering a positive vibe for the Buffalo Bills as they navigate their season.
