Knicks and Raptors to Clash in 2025 NBA Cup Quarterfinals

The New York Knicks are set to clash with the Toronto Raptors in the quarterfinals of the 2025 NBA Cup on Tuesday night. The Knicks advance after securing a 3-1 record, winning Group C, while the Raptors topped Group A with a perfect 4-0 mark. This matchup features two teams with a strong presence in the Atlantic Division, as the Knicks (16-7) lead their division and have shown impressive form with three consecutive wins and an overall record of 8-2 in their last 10 games. The Raptors (15-10), positioned third in the Atlantic Division, have a solid home record of 8-5 this season.

The stakes are high in this quarterfinal, as the victor will move on to face the winner of the matchup between the Orlando Magic and the Miami Heat in the semifinals scheduled for December 13. However, the Knicks may face challenges as Karl-Anthony Towns is listed as questionable due to a calf injury that kept him out of Sunday’s game against Orlando. Meanwhile, the Raptors will be without RJ Barrett, who is nursing a knee injury.

The game will tip off at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto at 8:30 PM ET. Historically, the Raptors lead the all-time series against the Knicks 61-54; however, the Knicks have dominated their last nine meetings against Toronto. In terms of betting odds, New York is currently favored by 5.5 points, with a total points over/under set at 265.5.

For those considering placing bets, the SportsLine consensus offers insights based on their Projection Model, which has successfully simulated NBA games 10,000 times, resulting in notable returns for bettors over the last eight seasons. The model is currently enjoying a 29-14 record on top-rated NBA spread picks dating back to last season.

In predicting player performances, the model suggests that Jalen Brunson from New York should average around 26.9 points, contributing significantly to the Knicks’ scoring efforts. The Toronto Raptors’ Brandon Ingram is projected to contribute approximately 20.1 points, with several players from both teams expected to score in double digits.

As teams vie for a spot in the semifinals, the anticipation for this quarterfinal showdown is palpable, with both squads eager to maintain their winning momentum. To explore more detailed picks and betting strategies, enthusiasts are encouraged to consult SportsLine, which continues to provide valuable insights into the evolving dynamic of this exciting matchup.
