LBank Labs, in collaboration with South Korean Congressman Min Byoung-Dug and the Korea Blockchain Industry Promotion Association (KBIPA), recently hosted the “Global Blockchain Forum – Korea 2025” during the Korea Blockchain Week 2025. The event took place at the National Assembly Library in Seoul, focusing on the transformative capabilities of blockchain technology and its implications for the future of Web3 innovation, regulation, and international collaboration.
The forum featured a series of keynote speeches, panel discussions, and networking opportunities aimed at encouraging dialogue regarding pivotal topics such as regulatory frameworks, Layer 1 and Layer 2 solutions, the integration of artificial intelligence in blockchain, and the role of stablecoins. Notably, these conversations led to significant collaborative efforts and tangible advancements within the cryptocurrency ecosystem.
During his opening remarks, Congressman Min Byoung-Dug emphasized the pivotal role of blockchain in redefining trust systems. He suggested that the digitization of Real-World Assets (RWA) will be fundamental to the future of finance. Min introduced a new model termed “RWA + STO × Stablecoin,” highlighting South Korea’s impending introduction of “Three Digital Asset Acts.” These proposed regulations aim to strike a balance between safeguarding investor interests and fostering industrial innovation.
KIM Hyeong-Joo, Chairman of KBIPA, reiterated the global nature of blockchain, stressing the need for international cooperation to bridge gaps and propel development within the industry. The discussions continued with insights from Czhang Lin, head of LBank Labs, who noted that the merging of Web3 and traditional finance hinges on initiatives such as crypto ETFs attracting institutional investments, enterprises engaging with crypto through Direct Asset Tokenization (DAT) strategies, and the implementation of low-cost, transparent Special Purpose Acquisition Companies (SPACs). Lin remarked that integrating these components could facilitate project access to traditional financial markets.
Prominent figures in academia and industry also contributed to the forum, including Professor Ryu Hyeuk-sun from KAIST and Professor Han Jung-Wook from Seoul National University. Other key collaborators included leading representatives from Web3 organizations, such as the Ethereum Foundation, Animoca Brands, Solana, and Manta Network. Their discussions focused on technology innovations, ecosystem development, and cross-chain collaboration, offering actionable insights and future-oriented perspectives.
