Seoul, South Korea – Lotte Group’s mobile voucher service, Giftiel, has achieved a remarkable milestone by issuing over 5 million vouchers and attracting more than 1.3 million users since its integration with the Aptos blockchain in July 2025. This development reflects a rising demand for reliable, blockchain-driven digital services in an increasingly tech-savvy marketplace.
The integration is a significant outcome of the collaboration between the Aptos Foundation and Daehong Communications, an affiliate of Lotte Group. The partnership aims to harness blockchain innovation for everyday applications, paving the way for broader use of this technology in various business sectors.
During the Global Blockchain Forum, held at the National Assembly of Korea, Daehong Communications reaffirmed its commitment to this initiative. Kang Tae-ho, Head of the Future Growth Division at Daehong Communications, delivered a keynote address outlining the future vision for blockchain integration within its business model. He emphasized the company’s efforts to further embrace and enhance blockchain technology, particularly through its relationship with Aptos.
Looking ahead, both Daehong Communications and the Aptos Foundation plan to amplify their collaboration, intending to broaden the implementation of Aptos’ blockchain technology across Lotte’s extensive operations. The goal is to facilitate the mass adoption of blockchain solutions in various applications, including digital vouchers, customer loyalty programs, payment systems, and cross-border transactions.
“This partnership is about more than just technology—it’s about delivering real-world value to customers and enhancing their experiences through innovative digital solutions,” said a spokesperson from Daehong Communications.
Daehong Communications, established in 1982, has maintained a strong foothold in the marketing and advertising industry. The company is renowned for its all-encompassing marketing solutions, which range from creative campaigns to data-driven insights that engage consumers across multiple platforms.
The Aptos Foundation, dedicated to fostering the development of the Aptos protocol, aims to simplify blockchain technology for mass adoption. The Aptos Network boasts high performance as a proof-of-stake layer-one blockchain, designed to support large-scale applications with exceptional throughput and low latency.
As the integration evolves, both organizations are optimistic that blockchain technology can offer substantial benefits by enhancing user experiences and driving innovation across multiple sectors.
