New Movies Available to Stream This Weekend: What's Worth Watching

This weekend, movie lovers have a plethora of exciting options to choose from, including both new theatrical releases making their way to streaming platforms and original films premiering just in time for the holiday season.

Notably grabbing attention is Brad Pitt’s high-octane racing drama, “F1: The Movie,” which is now available on Apple TV. In this film, Pitt portrays an aging driver on an underdog racing team, bringing a mix of charisma and intense racing action as he mentors a rookie racer played by Damson Idris.

For fans of popular franchises, the latest installment in the “Knives Out” series, titled “Wake Up Dead Man,” features Daniel Craig reprising his role as the charming detective Benoit Blanc. In this new mystery, Blanc teams up with a young priest, played by Josh O’Connor, who finds himself embroiled in a murder investigation that raises intriguing questions about faith and personality cults.

An exciting new action-comedy called “Bride Hard” stars Rebel Wilson as an international secret agent who must save her best friend’s wedding from a group of intruders, while Anna Camp plays the unsuspecting bride-to-be.

In the feel-good genre, “Merv,” featuring Zooey Deschanel and Charlie Cox, depicts a couple navigating their emotions and rekindling their bond while taking their depressed dog on a trip to a pet-friendly resort. This holiday rom-com promises laughter and charm.

Another notable title, “Roofman,” stars Channing Tatum in a true-life story about a divorced veteran turned criminal who finds solace and unexpected love while hiding in a toy store. His performance promises to captivate audiences with both humor and heart.

If you’re in the mood for holiday cheer, “Oh. What. Fun.” features Michelle Pfeiffer as a Texas mom whose festive spirit turns to a personal journey when she gets accidentally left behind during a family outing.

The nostalgia factor is strong with the release of “Spinal Tap II: The End Continues,” where original cast members Christopher Guest, Michael McKean, and Harry Shearer reunite for a hilariously poignant revisit to the world of ’80s rock music.

Disney+ is offering a special concert film featuring Taylor Swift’s record-breaking final show of her Eras Tour, while Netflix brings back the whimsical chaos of “Troll 2,” where ancient trolls engage in epic battles.

With diverse genres and countless stars, viewers are bound to find something that piques their interest this weekend, whether they’re tuning in on platforms like Hulu, Netflix, Disney+, or Prime Video.
