In a dramatic turn in the ongoing investigation surrounding the kidnapping of Nancy Guthrie, a new note has emerged, hinting at potential information regarding the individual responsible for her abduction. Unlike previous communications from the kidnapper, this note seems to be from someone who claims to have knowledge about the case and is willing to share it for a price.

The note was received by TMZ shortly before 5 AM PT and details the sender’s attempts to reach out to Savannah Guthrie’s siblings—Camron and Annie—via email and text, which allegedly went unanswered. The sender demands 1 Bitcoin, currently valued at around $66,000, directed to a specified wallet address, with the condition that this payment is necessary to provide the name of the person involved in the kidnapping. Notably, this bitcoin address is different from the one mentioned in the original ransom note made public earlier in the case, which has raised concerns about the authenticity of the new communication.

In light of the developments, TMZ has passed the note along to the FBI for further investigation. The veracity of the sender’s claims remains uncertain, but the financial demand adds a layer of intrigue to an already complex situation. This note comes as law enforcement has been actively working to locate Nancy’s abductors, with a reward of $50,000 for any information leading to their capture.

The announcement follows a series of significant actions in the case. Less than 24 hours prior, the FBI released images of an armed suspect who was seen at Nancy’s residence on the day of her kidnapping, February 1. Additionally, on the same day, police detained a deliveryman in a Tucson suburb as a person of interest. However, after questioning him, authorities determined he was not connected to the case, as he claimed he was unfamiliar with Nancy.

The investigation is ongoing, as authorities sift through leads and tips in hopes of bringing the case to a resolution and ensuring the safe return of Nancy Guthrie.
