Ondo Finance has experienced significant gains recently, with its token rising nearly 10% on Thursday, currently valued at $1.10. This surge contributes to an impressive weekly increase of over 21%, according to data from CoinGecko. The decentralized finance-focused asset management firm has seen its total value locked (TVL) triple in 2023, reaching $1.57 billion.
The bullish sentiment surrounding Ondo is linked to the broader upswing in the cryptocurrency market, propelled by speculation over a potential Federal Reserve rate cut. Additionally, recent news about BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager, planning to launch exchange-traded funds (ETFs) on public blockchains has bolstered confidence in Ondo’s initiatives in tokenized stocks and real-world assets.
The increase in Ondo’s token price aligns with last week’s introduction of tokenized versions of over 100 U.S.-listed stocks, ETFs, and other equities on the Ethereum blockchain through its Global Markets platform. Investment analyst Lai Yuen from Fischer8 Capital highlighted that the excitement around tokenized stocks likely fuels the current price momentum.
Moreover, partnerships and advisory collaborations, including notable names like WisdomTree, have successfully added approximately $160 million to Ondo’s TVL within just nine days. This rapid growth underscores the project’s strong early traction.
Since the beginning of 2025, Ondo Finance’s total value locked has skyrocketed from $611 million to $1.57 billion, as reported by DefiLlama. Looking ahead, Yuen maintains a bullish long-term outlook, suggesting that even capturing a modest 10% share of the stock market could significantly benefit Ondo token holders through substantial fee generation.
He emphasized that Ondo’s regulatory framework, strengthened by its advisory board, provides a competitive advantage that is challenging for rivals to duplicate. This combination of market dynamics and strategic partnerships positions Ondo Finance favorably in the evolving landscape of decentralized finance.
