oneZero, a key player in multi-asset enterprise technology solutions, has solidified its leadership team with the recent appointment of Asiff Hirji to its Board of Directors. This development positions the company strategically as it continues to grow its trade execution, pricing, connectivity, and risk management services for brokers, banks, and buy-side market participants.
Asiff Hirji brings a wealth of experience from the financial technology sector, with a strong track record of scaling global platforms at the intersection of brokerage, banking, and digital assets. His tenure as President and COO at Coinbase from 2017 to 2019 marked a pivotal period for the company, where he was instrumental in elevating revenues beyond $1 billion. Under his leadership, Coinbase expanded its workforce nearly fourfold and successfully raised $300 million at an impressive $8 billion valuation.
Before his impactful role at Coinbase, Hirji was President of TD Ameritrade from 2002 to 2007, overseeing significant growth in its brokerage offerings. He also served as Chairman of the Board at Saxo Bank between 2014 and 2015, focusing on online trading and investment across the global financial landscape. His commitment to innovation in digital assets continued with leadership roles at MoonPay and Figure Technologies, as well as involvement on the Advisory Board of Nubank.
In expressing his enthusiasm for joining oneZero’s Board, Hirji stated, “I am excited to join oneZero’s Board, and I look forward to supporting its next phase of growth. After being introduced to oneZero’s management team in 2024, I was impressed by the company’s leadership and momentum in transformative market initiatives both in institutional banking and in the evolving brokerage landscape.” He highlighted oneZero’s focus on developing cutting-edge products in collaboration with a loyal customer base as a significant draw.
The sentiment was echoed by Andrew Ralich, CEO and Co-Founder of oneZero. Ralich emphasized Hirji’s extensive experience in scalable fintech platforms, stating, “Asiff’s track record in scaling innovative fintech platforms, from leading global brokerages to advancing digital asset adoption, makes him an invaluable addition to our Board. We look forward to leveraging his vast experience as we take our innovative, product-focused model into emerging frontiers within capital markets.”
