Tate Donovan, Jennifer Aniston's Ex, Looks Unrecognizable During Santa Monica Outing

During a leisurely outing in Santa Monica, Tate Donovan, once a celebrated heartthrob of the ’90s, showcased a drastically different look from his younger days. Now 62, Donovan was seen cycling alongside his pet dog, donning white hair, a flannel shirt over a gray T-shirt, gray sweatpants, and black sandals.

Donovan’s career has spanned several notable projects including “Memphis Belle,” “Argo,” “The O.C.,” “Hercules,” “Good Night, and Good Luck,” and the iconic series “Friends.” He notably appeared in a five-episode arc during season four as Joshua Burgin, a romantic interest for Rachel Green, played by none other than Jennifer Aniston, with whom he shared a personal history.

The couple was together for nearly three years and even cohabited before their breakup in 1998. Donovan reflected on the emotional difficulty of acting alongside Aniston on “Friends” so soon after their split, describing the experience as fraught with tension. “We were just breaking up and I thought that maybe working together would ease the breakup. Maybe we’d become friends quicker,” he recounted in an interview. “It was very tough…it’s like going to class when you’re in high school, and you’ve broken up with the girl who you sat next to.”

During this challenging time, Donovan found unexpected support from fellow “Friends” star Matthew Perry, who was the only one to reach out to him following the breakup. “It meant so much to me because I was really heartbroken,” he admitted.

Before his relationship with Aniston, Donovan dated another Hollywood A-lister, Sandra Bullock. The two met while filming “Love Potion No. 9” in 1990 and maintained their relationship until 1994. Bullock later expressed her deep affection for Donovan, stating, “I adored Tate so much. It’s like they say, there’s one person in your life, and Tate and I are closer than any two people I’ve ever experienced in my life.”

Interestingly, both Aniston and Bullock developed a friendship rooted in their shared romantic connection with Donovan. In a light-hearted conversation from 2020, the actresses joked about being introduced by “our former boyfriend.” Aniston teased, mentioning how Donovan seemed to have a particular type—“Talented. Funny. Kind. Introspective. Generous.”

Following his high-profile romances, Donovan found love again, marrying writer Corinne Kingsbury in 2005, though the union ended in divorce three years later. He then tied the knot with Corry Scheuerman in 2015 and is now a father to a son, Luc, who is currently in college.
