President Donald Trump has announced a new initiative aimed at streamlining residency for individuals and corporations in the United States. The “Trump Gold Card,” which allows for rapid residency, is now available for purchase, starting at a price of $1 million for individuals and $2 million for corporations. The card prominently features a portrait of Trump, alongside iconic American imagery such as the Statue of Liberty and the American flag set against a gold background.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump expressed his concerns over illegal immigration, stating, “For far too long, we have had millions of Illegal Aliens pouring into our Country, and our Immigration System was broken.” He emphasized the importance of the new initiative as a means of benefiting American taxpayers through a more structured legal immigration system.
The announcement comes amid broader discussions about immigration and its economic implications. Trump predicted the venture could generate over $100 billion, which he claimed would be used to reduce taxes, fund pro-growth projects, and lower the national debt.
Interested individuals can apply for the exclusive privileges through the official website, trumpcard.gov. The application process involves submitting necessary documents and paying a nonrefundable processing fee, after which the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services will conduct an expedited background check for potential cardholders. If approved, the Trump Gold Card will grant lawful permanent resident status, categorized under EB-1 or EB-2 visa holders, across all 50 states and territories.
It should be noted that the card operates akin to a visa, and its status can be revoked due to national security concerns or other risks. In addition to the Gold Card, plans for the Trump Platinum Card have also been announced. This card aims to allow individual applicants to reside in the U.S. for up to 270 days per year without tax obligations on income earned outside the country, effectively replacing standard travel visas. Although the Platinum Card is still in the works, the website encourages interested parties to join a waitlist, as applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
