During the Super Bowl pre-game show on Fox, President Donald Trump made headlines by soliciting donations for his campaign in cryptocurrency. The promotion was presented through an advertisement-style video, which has sparked debate over its authenticity, with many social media users suggesting it was AI-generated. In the clip, which played for an extended period during the broadcast, Trump made an eye-catching claim that he would “double the money” contributed by supporters.

The video also featured notable figures such as Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Department of War Secretary Pete Hegseth. However, it notably lacked any disclosure regarding the use of AI technology, leaving some viewers questioning its origins. An online observer expressed bewilderment at seeing a seemingly AI-generated video of Trump during the highly anticipated NFL event, noting the unusual nature of the request for cryptocurrency donations broadcast live on national television.

As the spectacle continued, social media reactions highlighted a sense of incredulity. One user remarked on the rise in viewership for what they labeled a “scam stream,” while another echoed concerns about the video’s apparent artificial intelligence aspect.

In addition to the unusual promotional strategy, the political landscape surrounding Trump remains contentious. With the 2026 midterm elections approaching, recent polls indicate that his favorability is sinking, largely impacted by the ongoing affordability crisis and immigration policies. Current approval ratings place Trump at around 39%, with a New York Times poll showing him at 41% favorable versus 56% unfavorable ratings. Meanwhile, a Pew Research survey reflects an even bleaker picture, reporting a 37% favorable rating alongside a 61% unfavorable rating.

Interestingly, Trump chose not to attend the Super Bowl event itself, opting instead to boycott it in light of Bad Bunny’s halftime performance, announcing that he would watch an alternative halftime show hosted by Turning Point USA.
