UConn enters the matchup with an unblemished record of 9-0, following a dominant performance against DePaul. In their last game, the Huskies overwhelmed DePaul with a staggering score of 102-32, showcasing their depth and skill. Sophomore Sarah Strong was the standout player, contributing 20 points to the team’s success. Graduate student Azzi Fudd and sophomore Kayleigh Heckel added 16 points each, while redshirt sophomore Jana El Alfy chipped in with 11 points. Historically, UConn has an edge in its rivalry with USC, holding a record of 4-1 in their all-time matchups. The last encounter took place during the 2025 NCAA Tournament Elite Eight, where UConn, despite being a No. 2 seed, triumphed over the No. 1 seed Trojans with a score of 78-64. This encounter will mark UConn’s first visit to Southern California since 2003, heightening the stakes for both teams.
USC, currently holding a record of 7-2, recently secured a victory against No. 21 Washington, winning 59-50.
